Guantanamo Detainee - Panel Discussion

After over a decade and through three different presidential administrations, the Guantanamo Bay detention facility still remains open. How did it get to this point? What is its current state? And where will it go in the future?  Attorneys Walter Ruiz and Suzanne Lachelier will answer these questions and more.  Mr. Ruiz and Ms. Lachelier represent Mustafa al-Hawsawi, one of the 9/11 defendants who has been held captive in Guantanamo Bay since 2006 while awaiting trial before the Military Commissions. The panel will be moderated by Abhishek Kambli, a SABA-DC General Director who also represents Mr. Hawsawi and will have a question and answer session with those in attendance.
