Fireside Chat with Congressman Andy Kim (NJ-3), the Second Ever Korean American Member of Congress
Congressman Kim was first elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2018 to represent the Third Congressional District of New Jersey, which encompasses parts of South Jersey. His 2018 race was the most expensive in New Jersey history. He is the first Korean American in Congress since 1992, and the first Burlington County Democrat to win re-election to Congress since the Civil War. He serves on the House Armed Services, Foreign Affairs, and Small Business Committees. The son of Korean immigrants, Congressman Kim previously worked at USAID and the State Department, as well as a counter-ISIS advisor to President Obama, and a strategic advisor to Generals Petraeus and Allen in Afghanistan.
