2016 Health Policy Forecast
Join SABA-DC's Health Law Section at Pansaari for our first event of the year – the 2016 Health Policy Forecast. At this event, our speakers will present an overview of top health policy issues Congress and the Administration will be addressing this year. The speakers will also touch on those health care issues they expect the candidates to address in the 2016 presidential election.
Our speakers include:
Priya Bathija, Senior Associate Director, Policy at the American Hospital Association. In this role, Priya is the AHA’s point person for inpatient payment and rural hospital issues. She also serves as the AHA liaison to the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission. Prior to joining AHA, Priya practiced health care law and served as Hospital Counsel for MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC and Associate General Counsel at ProMedica Health System in Toledo, Ohio.
Vinita Ollapally, Regulatory Affairs Manager at the American College of Surgeons. Vinita oversees regulatory, coding, and practice management activities. She specializes in physician payment policy, innovative care delivery models, and various aspects of health care reform implementation. Previously, Vinita was an associate at Waller Lansden in Nashville, Tennessee where she advised institutional health care providers on corporate transactions in addition to regulatory, compliance, and operational issues.
