On Saturday, November 17, 2018, the South Asian Bar Association of Washington, D.C. (“SABA-DC”) will hold its annual Public Interest Benefit Gala. The Gala, held this year at the Mead Center for American Theater, in South West DC, will bring together attorneys, lobbyists, and other professionals from law firms, lobbying firms, corporations, government, academia, and nonprofit organizations from the D.C. metropolitan area to raise funds for SABA-DC and its worthwhile Public Interest initiatives.
Our Keynote Speakers will be Thiru Vignarajah, Partner at DLA Piper, and William Chang, Senior Counsel to the Attorney General for the District of Columbia.
Thanks to the generous support of law firm, corporate, and individual sponsors, SABA-DC has been able to provide necessary financial assistance to law students every year through SABA-DC’s Public Interest Fellowship program. The Public Interest Fellowship program provides financial assistance in the form of summer fellowships to law students working at public interest organizations in the metropolitan D.C. area.
We expect this year’s turnout to be our largest yet!
Cocktail/ethnic attire suggested.
VIP Reception
A VIP Reception will be held at the beginning of the evening, allowing registrants a higher degree of quality interaction with guests and board members, a curated spirits tasting led by a SABA-DC Board Member, Reception specific hors d'oeuvres, and early access to the Gala event.
