Women's Networking Reception and Implicit Bias Workshop

*NOTE: THIS EVENT IS AT CAPACITY.

The existence of implicit biases in the workplace is documented in research.  Within this environment, the success of women attorneys often requires that they circumvent or overcome these biases.  SABA-DC invites you to a women's networking reception and workshop specifically discussing how implicit bias affects women and ways to address it.  The workshop will be presented by Monica Parham, who is formerly the diversity counsel at Crowell & Moring LLP and past president of the Women's Bar Association of DC.  This workshop will help us recognize and address common forms of implicit biases faced by women.  The event is co-sponsored with the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of the Greater Washington, D.C. area and the Hispanic Bar Association of the District of Columbia.

Date: Thursday, May 4, 2017.

Reception begins at 6:00.  Workshop begins at 7:00.
