Law and Zen: An After Work Meditation to Unwind Your Day
Numerous peer-reviewed academic papers have shown that meditation practice can greatly alleviate stress and anxiety, build positivity, increase creativity, improve focus and efficiency, and control addictions. These benefits are particularly relevant for the legal industry, which is known for having abnormally high mental health and substance abuse issues among its professionals. In this workshop, a lawyer and meditation expert, Deepa Menon, will lead a simple meditation and breathing exercise that participants can follow, learn, and bring to their home or to their workplace. Participants may leave feeling calmer, refreshed, and renewed with positivity.
We anticipate arrivals and networking from 7:00-7:15pm, the program running from 7:15pm-8:00 pm, followed by an open forum for discussion. Refreshments will be provided.
