A prolific speaker, Lourdes has presented in New York City, Washington, D.C., and Mexico City to such diverse organizations as Columbia University, Hispanic National Bar, South Asian Bar Association, and for the U.S. Senate staff members at Capitol Hill. These presentations have addressed a range of issues, including diversity & inclusion, leadership, networking, salary negotiation, and career strategies. As a coach and consultant, her practice includes career strategies, leadership, organizational effectiveness, and business crisis management. Her NYU classes include Networking Effectively, Leading with Diversity & Inclusion, and How to Gain Influence in the Workplace. Olvera-Marshall holds two law degrees, one from Mexico with honors (ITAM), and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from NYU School of Law; she also holds a degree in Organizational and Executive Coaching, and a Communication Skills certificate, both from NYU. In addition, she has studies from Harvard, Cornell, and Complutense, Spain. She also holds a culinary degree, Cordon D’Or. Ms. Olvera-Marshall is President and founding member of MexPro, a Mexican Professional Association officially linked with the Mexican Consulate of New York. Ms. Olvera-Marshall is the recipient of the 2018 NYU’s inaugural Global Services Outstanding Professional award, and Crain’s New York Business inaugural 2020 Notable Women in Talent Resources.
