As Office Chief in the Disclosure Review Program, you will be responsible for managing the activities of one of seven Industry Offices and for participating in the leadership of the overall review program strategy.

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations and planning of the office; leading change; motivating managers and staff; encouraging creative thinking, innovation and novel processes that create efficiency and flexibility while maintaining investor protection and facilitating capital formation.
  • Oversee the office's program for screening and selectively reviewing transactional filings made under the Securities Act of 1933 and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 to monitor and enhance compliance with the applicable disclosure and accounting requirements.
  • Guide the office and Division in setting and meeting the Division's annual review goals, as well as ensuring that the Division meets its mandatory review requirement under Section 408 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002.
  • Monitor and assess issues across filings, companies and industries and collaborate and/or coordinate with other offices or divisions, including other Industry Offices, the Division's Office of Risk and Strategy, Office of Assessment and Continuous Improvement, and/or Office of Specialized Policy and Disclosure. Responsible for analyzing and recommending courses of action for novel issues and complex disclosure questions and coordinating effectively with other office chiefs to promote consistency in the Disclosure Review Program.
  • Assist the Disclosure Review Program leadership in developing and executing on initiatives and strategic goals.
  • Perform administrative and human resource management functions regarding the staff supervised within the office; collaborate with other office chiefs to meet the Division's review program goals; provide leadership and guidance to managers as they establish performance standards and development plans for individual staff members and hold employees accountable to those standards; make hiring and resource and workload allocation decisions; and mentor employees and focus on their professional development.
