INVESTIGATIVE COUNSEL -
Senator Jon Ossoff (D-GA) is seeking experienced candidates for two Counsel positions on his Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations staff. These individuals will lead intensive, long-range, bipartisan investigations into issues impacting the federal government and the private sector. Responsibilities will include developing investigative plans, conducting briefings and interviews, reviewing document productions, drafting reports and memoranda, preparing for hearings, and coordinating with personal office staff on legislative proposals. Candidates must have strong writing, analytical, communication, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to operate effectively under pressure. Prior investigative or prosecutorial experience is preferred. Ideal candidates will have demonstrated experience working on one or more of the following issues: human trafficking; organized crime, money laundering, and other types of financial crime; civil liberties and other issues related to law enforcement and detention practices; or privacy and other challenges facing the technology industry. These are senior-level positions with a salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually plus additional benefits.
