Since its inception in 1966, MassHousing has supported affordable home ownership and rental housing opportunities throughout Massachusetts. The Agency has provided more than $27 billion for affordable housing in that time. Currently, MassHousing is seeking an experienced professional for the position of Special Counsel – Information Officer to continue the Agency’s storied history of affordable housing funding.
General Summary
The Special Counsel - Information Officer reports to the Deputy General Counsel and serves as the primary point of contact for (i) Agency records, managing all aspects of compliance with state Public Records and Record Retention Law, (ii) MA State Ethics Rules and (iii) procurement and contract drafting, review and advice. The position is responsible for responding to and managing public records requests and staff inquiries regarding state ethics rules, as well as preparing and conducting trainings for Agency staff and reporting to state agencies as necessary. Acts as the Legal Division’s liaison to other divisions and committees with respect to information privacy and security. Reviews corporate contracts and Non-Disclosure Agreements. Coordinates with Administrative Services and other Divisions in the management of active contracts. Coordinates periodic review and update of Agency policies in accordance with their respective terms.
