NIJC is hiring a Policy Associate!

 

The National Immigrant Justice Center seeks a Policy Associate to assist in implementing our strategic advocacy on immigration-related issues at the federal, state and local level. NIJC, headquartered in Chicago with a Washington, D.C. office, promotes the rights of non-citizens through direct legal service, impact litigation, and advocacy. The Policy Associate will report to the Director of Policy and work toward identifying and advancing advocacy priorities and strategies to protect the right of immigrants. The position involves close collaboration with NIJC's direct legal services, litigation, and communications teams, as well as participation in formal and informal coalitions with legal aid, advocacy, and grassroots organizations. We are seeking candidates with outstanding inter-personal skills, a background in immigration law and/or policy, strong writing and analytical skills, and an ability to react strategically in a fast-paced environment. 

 

A minimum of two years of related professional experience is required, with a graduate degree preferred. The position may be based in Chicago or Washington, D.C.
