LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL: Progressive California Democrat seeks Legislative Counsel to serve as lead staff for Member’s work on the House Judiciary Committee as well as other non-Committee legislative issues as assigned. Interest in child welfare policy and criminal justice reform a plus. Ideal applicants should have a J.D. with 3-5 years of Hill or other legislative experience, excellent writing skills, solid analytical abilities, and strong political instincts.  This is not an entry-level position. Candidate should be self-starters, creative at coming up with great legislative ideas and strategies and be able to constructively work in a team environment in a fast-paced office.   Candidates with California ties encouraged to apply.
