Are you a tax attorney with at least 3 years of broad tax experience, including planning, transactions, and controversies? How would you like to join the Rockville office of a midsize firm that truly invests in its associates and grooms them to be partners?
Responsibilities will primarily involve helping clients with the buying and selling of businesses, mergers and acquisitions, as well as drafting stockholder and LLC agreements. However, some controversy and tax planning work will also be involved.
The ideal candidate will have broad tax experience, and will be a creative, analytical thinker who is intellectually curious and seeks to enrich their knowledge on their own initiative. An LLM or CPA background is strongly desired.
The attorney should be barred in Maryland, but those who are willing to sit for the Maryland Bar should still apply.
The firm has a reasonable billable hour requirement, offers competitive compensation, and even gives an origination bonus for generating new business. Because the firm wants people to stay for the long term and make partner, associates will be taught business development, and will be invited to meetings and mixers with actual and potential clients. Associates will enjoy a laid back, social and collegial culture, business casual dress, and lots of client contact.
