The Arlington Associate Regional Solicitor’s Office of the U.S. Department of Labor is hiring up to two attorneys to practice in multiple subject areas. Experienced Attorneys
Experienced attorneys are being recruited to fill up to two positions within the Office of the Solicitor (SOL) in the Arlington Associate Regional Solicitor’s Office, a branch office of the Region III Solicitor’s Office. We are soliciting resumes for permanent, excepted service attorney positions available now at the GS-11 through GS-14 levels. Positions involve litigation and legal advice, and include the following practice areas:
- Labor standards statutes such as the Fair Labor Standards Act, Davis Bacon Act, and Service Contract Act
- Mine safety and health
- Occupational safety and health
- Fiduciary provisions of ERISA
- Civil rights and whistleblower
- Legal advice on other Department of Labor programs
Applicants must have four years of litigation experience. Because of local district court rules, being a member of the Virginia bar is greatly preferred. Occasional travel is required. The duty location for these positions is the Arlington branch office of the Region III Solicitor’s Office, located in Arlington, Virginia.
