Small boutique criminal defense firm seeking a starting associate attorney with 1-2 years of work or clerkship experience. Our lawyers work in Maryland and DC Courts defending individuals accused of felonies, misdemeanors and DUI traffic infractions. Applicants with background in criminal law, appeals, family law or civil litigation encouraged to apply. 

Job Type: Full-Time Associate Attorney

Start Date: July 2018

Salary: Salary is commensurate with experience and ability to generate revenue/clients.

Attorney Responsibilities:  DMV representation, court appearances in criminal court, trial preparation and motion writing, appellate case writing and management, client consultations.

Qualifications: 

·   Bar admission, District of Columbia required, preferred in Maryland.

·   At least 1 year of experience with litigation and/or clerkship experience. 

·   Fluency in Spanish is preferred.

·   Excellent writing and communication skills, organized, and detail oriented.

·   Applicants should be independent and motivated with the ability to adapt and grow with the firm. 

·   Capable of using computer applications.
