Staff Attorneys, Earthjustice, DC/SF/LA

  • Earthjustice, the premier nonprofit environmental law organization, has three career opportunities available of interest to SABA’s DC chapter:

  • 1.       Staff Attorney, DC Office - This role is for an experienced litigation attorney who is able to develop and lead litigation from day one. The ideal candidate for this position will have significant and successful experience with trial court and appellate litigation.
  • 2.       Staff Attorney, Community-Based Initiatives  -  We are looking for an experienced litigator with some specialized subject matter expertise. Experience with the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act and state solid waste law; the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act; and litigation involving toxic and hazardous substances, contaminated-environments, and health injuries related to toxic exposures are all pluses. This role can be based in Los Angeles or DC.
  • 3.      Finally, the Staff Attorney, International Energy Transition will collaborate with foreign partners and allies, and with Earthjustice colleagues, to develop and implement legal advocacy and litigation strategies to support international clean energy and other program goals. This role can be based in our San Francisco or DC offices.
