    The Honorable Associate Judge Leslie A. Meek of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia is seeking a judicial law clerk to begin in August 2027. The position is for a period of two years. The law clerk will be responsible for providing the Judge with support.

    The applicant must have obtained a J.D. from an accredited law school upon the commencement of the clerkship. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, a strong writer, and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. The successful candidate will be expected to handle a number of daily tasks within chambers, including the timely management of the Judge’s calendar, drafting judicial orders and opinions, researching and preparing legal memoranda, monitoring all incoming motions, assisting in the courtroom, and administrative work as needed.

    The Honorable Associate Judge Leslie A. Meek of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia is seeking spring legal extern(s). The Spring 2027 legal externship requires students to be available for a minimum of one full 8-hour day per week. This is an unpaid position with an opportunity to earn law school credit.

    Qualified candidates must be enrolled at an accredited law school. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, a strong writer, have an interest in civil litigation, and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work collaboratively. A successful candidate will be expected to handle various daily tasks within chambers, including drafting judicial orders and opinions, researching and preparing legal memoranda, and assisting with administrative work as needed.

    Interested candidates should submit a completed application to JudgeMeekChambers@dcsc.gov. A completed application must include a cover letter, resume, unofficial transcript, writing sample (10 page maximum), and list of three references. All materials must be submitted electronically.

    The US Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia is looking for multiple attorneys to join our team handling (1) defensive cases; and (2) affirmative False Claims Act litigation.

    This is a terrific opportunity for some interested in litigation who wants tackle some of the most challenging, high-impact cases (especially right now). 

    The defensive practice primarily involves litigation cases brought under the freedom of information act, the administrative procedure act, the federal employment discrimination laws, immigration laws, and the federal torts claim.

    The affirmative practice involves  investigating and litigating cases involving fraud against the government.
